PRIME COURTS · PLAN YOUR PROJECT

Good questions before you build.

Answers about court space, multi-sport layouts, tennis-to-pickleball conversions, drainage, installation schedules and project estimates.

How much space does a court need?

The marked playing area is only part of the footprint. Space for player run-off, fences, gates, equipment and circulation must also be considered. Send available dimensions and intended sports so the layout can be checked against the applicable requirements.

Can basketball and pickleball share a court?

A shared layout may be possible when the available space supports both uses. Goal placement, net storage, line colors and playing clearances need to work together. We review the full layout before confirming a multi-sport scope.

Can an existing tennis court become pickleball courts?

Conversions depend on dimensions, base condition and the proposed number of courts. Review net and post locations, dividing fences, circulation and lighting as well as new game lines. See our pickleball services.

Can resurfacing fix cracks or standing water?

Some conditions can be addressed within surface preparation and repair work; others require drainage or base repairs. Coatings alone should not be assumed to correct the underlying cause. Send photos of cracks and areas where water collects.

How long will installation take?

Outdoor acrylic surfacing is not performed November 15–March 15. A deposit is required before scheduling, and dates depend on weather, approvals and site readiness. Typical surfacing work ranges from 2–7 working days by court type; full construction and return-to-play timing are separate. See warranty, curing and scheduling expectations.

Do I need approvals before work starts?

Property rules, local requirements and project specifications vary. Identify applicable permitting, engineering and HOA requirements early, and assign responsibility for each in the project agreement.

What warranty applies?

Current new-proposal coverage is generally one year for court workmanship, gym-floor workmanship and covered running-track surface defects, subject to written terms. Gym coverage requires confirmation and documentation of humidity, temperature and moisture conditions. Outside water and substrate-related failures are excluded. Existing signed agreements control their own coverage. See the warranty and care guide.

What if hidden problems are discovered?

Some substrate and moisture conditions become visible only during preparation or construction. Affected work may pause for review and a signed change order. If a condition remains uncorrected, any limitation or absence of warranty for resulting failures must be defined and accepted in writing before proceeding.
